Over the years, I learned to embrace the all-caps handwriting which became my standard ever since, but this acceptance was merely aesthetic, as it was difficult to express certain things in such a brute, angular manner. This led to many a letter not being written due to lacking the expressiveness of calligraphy or cursive writing.
